Today I am going to talk about head measurements. Can we really
get them exact? No not really but we can come close.
Generally a premie's head is about 12inchs,now that may be to big but we wouldn't know unless we measured. Most of the time a newborn is 13-14 inches and 0-3 months 14- 15 inches, now some people might argue the sizes, but I believe 3-6 months would be 15-16 inches, 6-12 months 16-18 inches and a toddler 19 inches.
As a prop maker I have to go by these measurements, unless I have a photographer that has the time to go out and get head measurements, but lets face it people. They don't have the time.
I had a photographer at my home last night at 9:30 pm picking up props. She left and was back at my door in less them 5 minutes. She had got a call from a client and needed more props.
One thing I have found though with the headbands,is to put a little piece of elastic in the back to give them a little stretch. On my crochet I always try to have yarn that will stretch, and my bonnets always has a tie in the back so they can be adjustable. Now does this always work? I hope so,I haven't heard that it hasn't.

Stuck in Your Mind
Hello Have you ever been stuck and don't know what to do? Can't think of a new Crochet Pattern, don't know were to start on that bonnet or dress your making.Well I have LOL often. The question is,what do you do? Getting up and going for a walk helps.Just get away from the task at hand.Eat a good meal, listen to music, take a drive.Sometimes your mind gets so boggled up with things you have to do,you really need to step back and do something to relax yourself. Then return to the task and let your magic work to creat.

My Weekend Online
Wow
I have set here and spend the whole Super Bowl weekend online attempting to sale the cutest little newborn bonnets,I belive I have ever made. It's not easy, even if they are cute. The life of sales has changed so much in the past 20 years or so.Used to ,you made a few items set a yard sale in your yard and sold all day.Now you make a few items but them on line and spend weeks getting found.LOL,Well this weekend I created a new page on facebook an named it Grandmas Holiday items http://www.facebook.com/#!/GrandmasHoildayItems.I am very excited about this page I will be adding Holiday items to it on a regular basis. Then I started a new sale group on facebook called Holiday Photography Props,a group for vendors to post there Holiday items http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/404946786264408/ .I'm excited about that site also. I am also involed in a group called Off the Hook Unleashed pay them a visit http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/132361876925313/
Now it's time to Kick back put my feet up and watch the Ravens and the 49ers hit each other, and of course the commercials. http://www.etsy.com/shop/GrandmasPropShop?ref=si_shop
